After a successful stint as a senior leader in one of Canada’s largest telecommunications companies, Jean-Claude founded COGITAS, a strategic management consulting firm that assists individuals and organizations in the most critical areas of change, from innovation management to organizational optimization. As a committed entrepreneur, the various projects in which he is involved all have a common objective: to improve the human experience while systematically creating value. It is through this prism that he approaches technologies including Artificial Intelligence.
At AlgorIA, Jean-Claude is responsible for strategy and operations, and he has the important mission of inspiring and mobilizing a high-level multidisciplinary team around innovative projects, ranging from solution development to training.
Jean-Claude is a graduate from HEC Montréal (administration) as well from Laval University (marketing), and holds a specialized graduate diploma in management consulting and an MBA from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

Francis began his career as a tax professional with Marconi Canada before becoming Vice President and ultimately President of Consultaxe Ltd., a nationally recognized tax firm that has been in business for over 40 years. In this role, Francis helped change the landscape of Canadian taxation, convincing Members of Parliament from diverse political backgrounds to make significant changes to the tax law.

A seasoned entrepreneur, he has been involved in many successful business ventures, including the founding of a private technology college.
At AlgorIA, Francis is responsible for development, growth and strategic partnerships, both local and international. His vast experience and impressive network make him an accomplished and credible ambassador. In his role, his fundamental mission is to build relationships, create synergies and discover value-creating opportunities with various organizations, whether they are from the business, education or government sectors, here and around the world.
Francis holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy as well as a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University de Sherbrooke.

Khaled is an AI enthusiast and has always been fascinated by how machines can learn and solve complex problems. After studying engineering and telecommunications, Khaled worked in several technology companies as a consultant, and quickly made AI his focus. He was an assistant professor at prestigious universities in Tunisia before moving across the ocean to Québec, where he conducts AI research and teaches computer science and AI at numerous accredited institutions.

At AlgorIA, Khaled is the technical lead and is responsible for planning and implementing the company’s AI project strategy for our clients, as well as overseeing the research and development teams working on said projects.
Khaled holds numerous certifications, including Deep Learning and Data Science, a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Ecole Supérieure des Communications de Tunis, and a PhD in Telecommunications from the University of Lille1, France.
Achraf BEN AMAR, PhD

Achraf has always had a strong interest in physics and engineering, fields of practice that he explored through various study and business projects in Tunisia. Upon his arrival in Québec to pursue his post-doctoral studies at the École de Technologie Supérieur (ÉTS), he decided to follow his passion by doing research as well as teaching in many renowned institutions, where he is appreciated by his peers and students.

Achraf holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Tunis Carthage, a master’s degree in microelectronics and nanoelectronics from the University of Aix-Marseille, and a PhD in microelectronics, microsystems and nanoelectronics from the University of Lille.
